I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
